...yeah...i hate it too... Big disappointment..dammit To me it didn't even had much of the Resident Evil mood. It felt like an action movie with a story that disappointed me a lot

What really bugged me off besides the way they killed Wesker, is that it was a bit too much of a clichee action flick. I mean it lacks of charakter depth and dramaturie.

I still will enjoy the game, and I'm not someone who keeps complaining about evrything (I loved RE4 just as much as the old games), it just buggers because the story and the charakters had much more potential >>

They killed my ULTIMATE favorite character. . .AND in the WORST WAY I'm soooo pissed. I've been pissed since I watched the leak online and that was almost 2 weeks ago and like I've been holding that in for a while so not to spoil anyone else.

But it's just ruined so much in the series for me. I absolutely LOVE Resident Evil. I live it, I love it and I'm so pissed it's been ruined now It's not the same. Capcom to me took the easy way out and got lazy with the story.

I think it's almost half and half with this game. Half of us love it and half of us hate it. I'm with the hate half. . .I don't even want to play the game. . .to me I can't sit here and play knowing I'm going to kill the ultimate villain in the series who was also me favorite character

I KNOW! OMG I KNOW DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT you talked to me the day I had seen the leak so you know I was pissed. And not only have I been pissed that they killed him, I'm pissed that he mutated. He was perfect to me before no need for mutation. And I hate how he got killed. Two RPGs to the face and that's it? That's how the main villain of the story dies? Chris wins and saves the day again? Why couldn't the villain finally just win. JUST ONCE. JUST ONE FUCKING TIME?

And of course Capcom had to go and make a more "interesting" story by now saying that he was created! LIKE WTF the "Wesker Children"? How is that even possible like Fuck you Capcom. Fuck you and your new writers. Fuck you and all the bullshit you come up with. Just FUCK YOU!

I never said playing the game wouldn't be fun but to me personally it leaves me feeling empty. They took the easy way out and got lazy. They killed of my ultimate favorite character from the series AND to top it all off in SUCH a fucking cliche way. Let's make him mutate, become this power obessesed control freak, god complex man who was so easily defeated. LIKE RAWR! I'm soooooo angry. I've been angry since I saw the leak and saw him die. I've been angry everyday that I talk about it with my wife. I've been angry about it when I think about how much it ruins in the whole series for me.

Like Yes maybe Wesker would've died at some point in time. May be he would've met his end. BUT the way they did it WAS NOT the way to do it. Granted yes it's true I'll never be happy if they kill Wesker off. I'll eternally hate it. But let's be honest it would've been MUCH MORE interesting if Wesker and Chris had just had a good ol' fist fight like they did in CVX and well at that point LET THE BEST MAN WIN. Chris isn't stupid, he didn't have to rely on brawn and muscles alone to beat Wesker. Could Wesker have killed him in an instant? Sure! But their relationship was a dynamic one. It was a part of RE, it's been a part of it since the first game when it all started.

But no now Capcom went and shit all over it and RUINED. Absolutely RUINED so much of it for me. I loved RE as a series I still do. But now I'm like where the hell are you taking this story? What are you going to do now? Who are you going to fight? Wesker's gone, Umbrella's gone. . .what the fuck are you gonna do now? It's not the same and yes I understand that games evolve and change and adapt. BUT to me this wasn't evolution, or change, or adpatation. It was bullshit they're selling to make money out of the fanbase.

AND sorry for writing you a book. . .but i've been holding in part of that rant for a Loooooooooooooog time now and it still makes me angry. TO this day. And I'm sure it will for some time.

I knew the time Wesker would die would have to come sooner or later. It would've been him or the world
I honestly don't mind that much if he had to die, though he's my fav character. But it really buggers me how they killed him, it should have been epic and either Chris or at least Sheva should have gone down with him.
Hell, I wouldn't have even minded that much if Sheva really fell with Wesker in that cutscene!
But Capcom had to end it in a clichee hollywood manner with rocketlaunchers and stupid oneliners.. and of corse letting Wesker mutate like any common villan >>

I have to admit that I would have liked the idea of Wesker beeing manufactured, because I never could imagine Wesker with parents, if they didn't just throw it in completly out of context. Again a point where I think they have wasted potential.

Another point letting me think it all gone clichee, was Jill. If they decided to infect her then they should have had the balls to bring it to the end.
I know it may sound stupid but I miss the drama of the other RE games (I say "other" instead of "old" in purpose, since I never complained about RE4). I mean I felt so sorry for the STARS members in RE1, I was like "ADAAAA!!!" with Leon in RE2, I felt so sad for Brad in RE3, Steve in CVx, and in RE4 I was again like Leon "LUISSSS!"

Aaaaand there's still another thing really annoying me: What the bloody hell happened to Sherry?! Damn it Capcom let us belive on purpose Sherry would be in RE5. When they had put that blonde girl in the game and showed her in the trailer and in pictures they knew that everyone would guess it might be Sherry. Why make us belive they show us what happened to her if they didn't want to tell her storry?!
Besides now that Wesker is dead, we'll never know how
they interacted...

Other than that all the game is fun, especially the coop

I mean don't get me wrong. Playing the game was loads of fun it really was. And the graphics are awesome as were the renders and cutscenes. But it sorta left me feeling empty after beating it. There wasn't that sense of triumph for me.

Plus don't even get me started on the whole killing Wesker thing. Yes I get that maybe his death was inevitable. . .but they did in such a horrible way BAH stupid Capcom.

I still love the series I really do. It's always been my favorite but blah with the exception of the Darkside Chronicles I'm not that hyped up about a 6th game. The original antagonist that was Umbrella is now gone. And sure it would've gotten boring to keep bringing them up but I'm sorry you got us used to them creating the trouble for over 10 years now!

Oh I dunno. I still like the game for sheer gameplay. Story wise I think it stinks. This is what happens when you have new writers and new people working on something that's been GOLD for years.
